Danijela Pintarić is one of the leading Croatian performers of musicals and also known for her versatile vocal abilities. She graduated violin (2001) and singing (2003) at the Music Academy in Zagreb and debuted in 2003 as Sheila in the musical Hair in the production of Zagreb City Theatre Komedija – the only professional Croatian theatre specialized for musicals.
Seeking more challenges, in 2004 she auditioned for Croatian television talent show Coca-Cola Music Stars and ended up as a winner.
In January of 2006 she got a job as a member of Komedija theater ensemble (as singer – soloist) and soon became one of it’s most recognizable performers. Together with Sheila in Hair, some of her most memorable musical roles include Amneris in Aida, both Sandy and Rizzo in Grease, Maria in The Sound of Music, Tanya in Mamma Mia, Nina Filipovna in Jalta Jalta and Maria in Byron. She also performed in several operas and operettas such as La belle Helene (Helene), Spli’ski akvarel (Marica), Countess Mariza (Lisa) etc. Apart of her domicil theatre Komedija she accomplished collaborations with Croatian National Theatres in Zagreb and Osijek and Aplauz Teatar. In 2016 she won Croatian Theatre Award (Croatian version of Tony) for best female performance in musical and operetta.
Due to her musical curiosity and unique voice abilities she collaborated with great artists in a large range of musical genres. She performed as a singer soloist with all of the major Croatian orchestras (Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Croatian Television Revue, Jazz and Tamburitza orchestra etc.) and ensembles like Zagreb soloists, but also worked with Croatian contemporary music giants such as Arsen Dedić, Đelo Jusić and Zrinko Tutić. She performed on several Croatian contemporary music festivals with great success; she was the winner of Krapina music festival twice (in 2006 by the audience and in 2007 by the jury – Grand Prix) and also won Grand Prix on Međimurje music festival Ljubo Kuntarić in 2020, performing in duet with respected Croatian actor Goran Grgić. Fans of Eurosong especially remember her performance on Dora (Croatian selection for ESC) in 2007 when she was 3rd in the finals with the song Moj svijet (My world).
Except in Croatia, she performed in concerts all around the world (Italy, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Norway, USA, Japan, Indonesia, Morocco…)
She is a senior art associate at The Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek.
Darko Domitrović continued his education at the P. I. Tschaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and at the Hochschule fur Music und darstellende Kunst in Vienna after completing the Music school Vatroslav Lisinski in Zagreb. Since 1990 he works at the Academy of Music – University of Zagreb. He is a member of the Croatian Composers’ Society and the Croatian Society of Music Artists. As pianist he won four first prizes in the piano competitions held in the ex-Yugoslavia countries, and is a laureate of the International piano competition Citta di Senigallia in Italy. He has performed in Austria, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, England, Japan, Israel, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Russia, Poland, United States of America (Puerto Rico, N.Y.C., Hawaii, Florida, Ohio), Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Slovenia, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He performs regularly in concerts and has recorded solo and as accompanist for singers and violinists. He is the author of music for the musical Byron and many works for piano solo (Pianobook cycle…), vocal works (cycles Cervantes Songs, Lorca Songs…) and several pop music tunes. Musical Byron is the winner of the Croatian Actor Award in the operetta/musical category 2018.
